The result to the customer was a system with a more robust technical architecture suited to the firm's growth plans, enhanced security for better access to information, and audit trail capabilities that significantly reduced the firm's cost of compliance.
An Investment Management Firm needed to shorten their reporting cycle to customers, and allow for integration between structured quantitative information and unstructured narrative commentary about investment performance. KMA assisted the customer in designing and building an application using Microsoft Office System and .NET technologies to integrate these data and provide a robust tool that could be used from within familiar Office applications to present tailored quarterly reports.
A Large Financial Services Firm needed a global template solution that would accommodate US and International (A4) formatting. KMA developed a set of templates and macros to customize Microsoft Word that would work globally. KMA worked with the client to identify the changes that needed to be made and then designed new customized templates and rewrote the macros so that they would work with letter and A4-sized paper. The project was completed using Microsoft Office and KMA development expertise.
A Large Financial Services Firm needed to simplify their internal process for producing quarterly reports for their largest customers. To produce these cumbersome reports, they extracted data from various transaction processing systems, processed it in Excel to produce graphs and tables for each product they sold. The product managers then customized these charts and tables and added their commentary. And finally customer account managers then combined the relevant product reports into individual customer reports and then customized these reports. KMA automated this process by analyzing the reporting requirements, working with the client’s database experts to extract the relevant data from their reporting data warehouse, built Excel templates for the needed graphs and tables, built Excel automation to populate the templates, built Word automation to produce the client reports. The project was completed using KMA’s development talent and Microsoft Office.
A Financial Services Firm wanted to more easily analyze bond data extracted from Bloomberg. Previously they were manually extracting data from Bloomberg to produce reports in Microsoft Excel. KMA built a solution to automate this process by using Bloomberg’s API to extract the data and Excel automation to produce the needed reports.
